Please review the back of the Reading A-Z sheet (picture of a frog reading) to find what needs to be done for reading homework every day.
Monday - Read the book together
Tuesday - Do something at the end of the book - read your favorite part, reread, retell using pictures, discuss or talk about the book, ask and answer questions about the book, etc. (In homework notebook, write what you did together)
Wednesday - Discussion Cards (cut and paste discussion cards in homework notebook, write the answers under the cards, you can write the responses for your child)
Thursday - Write the moral or lesson of the story in the notebook.
Friday - Practice reading the book with fluency (like with talk). Write "fluency activity" in the homework notebook.

Don't forget to sign up for report card pick up on Sign Up Genius!
If you find graded papers in the Take Home folder, please keep them at home. If it has not been graded, please make sure it is complete and send it back to school.
Please use the math textbook to review what we are learning in class. It is a great resource.
Morning work: It is not put into the gradebook, but the skills on those sheets are so important. Knowing proper letter formation, use of lowercase and uppercase letters, sentence structure, sounds in words, number sense, etc. Review any errors with your child. I try to in class, but we don't always have the time. Thank you for your help!
